On Saturday, June 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. over 45 Atlantic Canadian writers will be signing books at participating stores across the region. Come out and meet your favourite storytellers and pick up some great books for summer reading!

 

Presented by Atlantic Books Today and the Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association (APMA), Atlantic Author Day features many writers included in this year’s Summer Reading Guide, available at book retailers across Atlantic Canada.  APMA Executive Director Peggy Walt commented, “This is our third annual Atlantic Author Day event and more authors than ever before are participating. Celebrate the amazing talent of Atlantic Canadian writers by visiting your local bookstore to meet and support our finest storytellers and booksellers.”

 

There are 137 books featured in this year’s Atlantic Summer Reading Guide, representing 22 different Canadian publishers. With books ranging from fiction, poetry, history and gardening to people, food, young readers and more there are books for everyone’s reading enjoyment this summer. 

 

160,000 copies of the Summer Reading Guide have been distributed across Atlantic Canada. Pick up a copy at your local bookstore or download a copy from www.atlanticbookstoday.ca.

 

This year’s promotion once again features a chance to win a beautiful basket of books with The Great Book Giveaway ballot found inside. Readers can enter by completing this ballot and mailing it to the office of Atlantic Books Today. The contest closes Friday, September 9. One basket will be awarded per province.
